Weighing just 7.9 grams, it’s ultra-light and discreet—ideal for vloggers or creators who want to capture high-quality audio without visual distractions. It features 48 kHz audio sampling, omnidirectional pickup, built-in noise cancellation, and includes a furry windshield for clearer outdoor sound. The Mic Air transmits wirelessly up to 300 meters in open areas, offers around 10 hours of battery life, and can be easily clipped, magnetically mounted, or worn like a pendant. On-mic controls let you toggle noise cancellation, mute the mic, and trigger recordings when used with supported devices. Mic Air is fully compatible with the Insta360 X5 and Ace Pro 2, connecting wirelessly without the need for a receiver. These cameras also support on-mic control features and live audio monitoring. For other USB-C devices like Insta360 Flow series gimbals or USB-C smartphones and tablets, the TX + RX bundle is required—the receiver plugs directly into your device’s USB-C port. However, it’s important to note that the Mic Air is not compatible with other Insta360 cameras such as the X3, ONE RS, One R, or One X4. These models require Insta360’s proprietary mic adapter and a 3.5 mm or Bluetooth microphone for external audio input.
